Need some recommendations about what fits in our new bag, the Synik 26? We've compiled this list with a huge amount of help from one of our friendly volunteer forum moderators, G42 (thanks G42!)
Packing Cubes
In the Main Compartment, you can fit many combinations of cubes such as:
1 or 2 Large/Large Laundry Techonaut / Aeronaut 30 Packing Cubes.
Or 1 Large/Large Laundry plus 1 or 2 Small/Small Laundry Techonaut / Aeronaut 30 Packing Cubes.
Or 1 Large/Large Laundry Techonaut / Aeronaut 30 Packing Cube plus 1 Small Synik 30/Western Flyer Packing Cube.
Or 1 Large/Large Laundry Techonaut / Aeronaut 30 Packing Cube plus 1 Packing Cube Shoulder Bag.
Stuff Sacks
You can combine different sizes of the Travel Stuff Sacks or Large Travel Tray or Small Travel Tray with the Techonaut/Aeronaut 30 Travel Laundry Stuff Sack in conjunction with Packing Cubes, in the main compartment.
Travel Stuff Sacks Size 1 or Size 2 fit either left or right side pockets.
Travel Stuff Sacks Size 1, Size 2, or lightly filled Size 3 or the Techonaut/Aeronaut 30 Travel Laundry Stuff Sack can also fit in the exterior bottom/chin pocket.
Organizer Pouches
The exterior water bottle pocket can fit: the Mini, Small, & Pen/Pencil Mystery Clear Organizer Pouches or the Super Mini, Mini, and Small Ghost Whale Pouches.
The exterior small pocket in front of the water bottle pocket can fit: the Super Mini Ghost Whale Pouch.
Either the exterior left or right external side pockets can fit: the Super Mini, Mini, or Small Ghost Whale Pouches.
The exterior bottom/chin pocket can fit: Mini, Small, and Pen/Pencil Mystery Clear / Mystery Fabric Organizer Pouches or the Small Double Organizer Pouch or the Super Mini, Mini, or Small Ghost Whale Pouches.
All the OPs can fit in the main compartment or the open-top pocket there, including the larger A5 Ghost Whale Pouch and the Medium Double Organizer Pouch.
Organizer Cubes
The Small Snake Charmer or Small Mystery Grab Bag or Standard Spiff Kit or Everyday Cubelet all fit the external bottom/chin pocket.
A 3D Organizer Cube Clear or Fabric or the Vertical Packing Cubelet fit the external bottom/chin pocket or water bottle pocket.
The Cubelet fits either left or right external side pocket, water bottle pocket, or bottom/chin pocket.
The larger Deluxe Spiff Kit fits into the main compartment or the interior open-top pocket there.
Any of the organization pouches/cubes could also be used in the main compartment.
Other useful options
The Synapse 25/Synik 30 Freudian Slip fits inside the main compartment.
A Handy Little Thing Size 1 or Size 2 can tuck into the main compartment or open top pocket there. They can also hang from the o-rings in the main compartment with swivel carabiners or fit the exterior bottom/chin pocket.
Side Effect / Side Kick / Side Hustle - All three fit into the main compartment and the Side Effect can fit in the external front bottom/chin pocket.
The plane seat hack
All of the ‘Side’ family and Rogue are great bags for use at your destination for shoulder or crossbody carry. They (along with the previously mentioned Packing Cube Shoulder Bag or HLT1 or HLT2 or Everyday Cubelet) can hang off of the plane seat pocket as an in-flight amenities bag. Just unclip & tuck the shoulder strap away and use swivel carabiners at the strap attachment points and clip to the seat pocket.
