Design

We use nylon to make these wallets since it's typically thinner and lighter than leather. The design of the nearly seamless look was achieved by our designer Nik through a process similar to that of origami. He had to imagine and conceive of a series of internal folds that would — after the final action of turning the wallet inside out post-construction process — create pockets for cards/cash and achieve that seamless look. The wallets are also slim enough to fit comfortably in your front or back pockets.

Nik's original wallet and the most minimalist of them all. Two interior fabric pockets. No exterior pockets.

Wallet #4

Wallet #4 is exactly the same as Wallet #3 except for one key difference: a small webbing loop through which gives you the ability to securely and conveniently tether this wallet to any TOM BIHN bag with O-rings. You'll need a Key Strap to do this, but given that all of our larger bags come with one 8" Key Strap in Black, you probably already have one.     Best Wallet Ever

    I’ve had this wallet for 3 years now and I was just curious what other colors might be available and found that Tom Bihn suspended production of the Nick wallet. Very sad, I was constantly recommending this wallet to friends.

    My Favorite Wallet

    This was my favorite wallet and lasted me years, remaining in perfect condition through daily use, while still looking new! I just lost it and am a bit devastated. If it ever comes back in stock, I would happily rebuy.

    Pretty impressive

    Bought this as a gift for my husband. We both love how small, sleek, and lightweight it is. He was able to pack in a surprising number of cards. I do wish there was a larger pocket for cash, but it’s no great loss. Excellent quality and workmanship, as always. (Thinking about getting myself one for extra cards/kids’ health cards/etc.)

    Bought my wallet with the loop for an airtag, first loop ripped within 2 days of using, support sent a replacement and again it ripped within 2 days very disappointed with QA on this one. I loved my previous Nik’s Wallet

    Excellent, even without the elastic.

    I used to carry a large leather wallet stuffed with cards, bills, and coins (yes, coins), and was intrigued by the idea of using something so minimal instead, so I bought a #5. That was five years ago, and the #5 is still my wallet. I now wonder how I'd ever carried—and why I'd thought I needed to carry—a leather monstrosity every day. The #5, turns out, is all the wallet I need. The elastic is long gone; it went slack after a few months and I cut it off at the seam. Without it, the wallet is just as functional, so I've come to view the elastic as a design error and an ill-considered excess. My recommendation—contrary to those of some of the other reviewers—is make these without the elastic altogether. Still, five stars for something nearly perfectly tailored to its intended use.
