Full Description

Large Open-Top Main Compartment

The main compartment of the Original Large Shop Bag can fit a lot! It's perfect for your farmer's market haul, to-go lunch, books, or folded up clothing.

The inside of the Original Large Shop Bag has two deep, open-top pockets you can use for items like wine or water bottles. When not in use, you can fold the entire bag into one of these pockets (see video here) if you want to save space, or store it inside your larger bag until you need it.

There are 2 O-rings in the interior of the Shop Bag. On one of the O-rings is a Key Strap and the other is unoccupied so that you can clip on a pouch, if you want.

Piping on the Seams

We've piped the seams with the same stiff plastic material used on hat brims. This piping gives the Shop Bag just enough structure to stand up while you're filling it.

PORON® Foam-Padded Handles

In addition to its good looks and organization, you'll notice that the Original Large Shop Bag's PORON®-padded handles make it comfortable to carry, even when it's quite heavy. Designed to be an ideal length that will allow most people to carry the bag in their hand or wear it over their shoulder, these handles successfully prevent that awful hand-slicing or shoulder-tugging experience of lugging traditional non-padded fabric handles. The PORON® will never break down or wear thin, no matter how many trips you make to the store.

    Please bring it back!?

    I bought this in (I think) 2016 - so it's lasted 8 years - with multiple machine washes - and is still in service and looking pretty good (see photo) though the plastic lining on the inside is beginning to break down in places - but I don't think that matters to me. It's an excellent bag: strong; carries a fair amount; and is comfortable in the hand or over the shoulder even when heavy. Most importantly, it packs down fairly (though not extremely) small. I take it with me on holiday as my grocery bag. It's a pity it's been retired. The truck bags are too large and structured to fit inside luggage and carry by air or train. I haven't tried its replacement - the large zip-top shop bag (it's currently out of stock) but I don't need a zipper as much as I need it to fold small, though I suppose I could treat the zip-top shop bag as a packing cube, however packing cubes should stay clean, whereas shop bags can get pretty grimy.

    Such a versatile bag

    Yes it’s an expensive grocery bag but honestly, it’s been incredible. The bag is well design and made so every grocery item from fruits to wine bottle is in its place. It also makes for an amazing picnic bag!

    Well designed

    I love this bag. It is well designed with thought. I liked the wine bottle holders on the side, it can be used for large water bottles as well. The handle hangs nicely on the shoulders. My only gripe is the fabric is not stiffer as it is difficult to fill the bag as the sides don't stay up. I think there are different fabric types and the one I chose did not have stiff fabric.
