Full Description

Carry Styles

Sturdy, minimalist webbing handles meet at the top of this bag, making it easy to hand carry. In addition, d-ring attachment points make it easy to sling over your shoulder with the included Simple Shoulder Strap.

Front Pockets

A slanted pocket sized to fit a small (~7") tablet or a large phone, deep enough to accomodate a Cache if wanted. Above that, a larger zippered pocket that spans the width of the bag, divided down the middle, and big enough to hold a paperback, kindle, power supply, or a pen pouch. Two o-rings live in each of the front pockets.

Back Pocket

This pocket is well sized for files, a magazine, or even a rain shell or light jacket.

Main Pocket

Inside is an open-top pocket with an elastic top, great for holding bulkier items without the pocket bellowing out. Loops for our Cache laptop sleeve are just inside this pocket, accomodating up to a 13A Cache. 4 o-rings are speckled throughout.

    Perfectly small and light for 13" Macbook Pro

    I bought the Daylight Briefcase to complement my Trinity and Pilot, completing my series of bags to meet my three different sets of needs for size and weight.

    The key advantage of all three of the following bags, over my Synik 22, Synik 30, and Paramour, is the briefcase format that makes removing and replacing my computers trivially easy and fast. That's important when I'm taking them out to use only briefly, or I'm moving quickly from one meeting room to another, or I'm in a situation where access to my bag is restricted, as in front of me or under my legs while I'm seated on a plane.

    1. Daylight Briefcase for my 13" Macbook Pro in its Cache, with minimal other stuff needing carrying. Easy to carry by hand since it weighs so little and is so thin that my arm hangs nearly straight. Barely noticeable when slung over shoulder or cross-body.

    2. Pilot for the same 13" Macbook Pro in its Cache, when I want to carry more stuff such as an iPad, water bottle, backup battery for phone... Usually I sling this cross-body or over shoulder, since with the additional cargo it is heavier than what I carry in the Daylight Briefcase, and it is a bit thicker so my arm extends sideways a bit. But still it is easy enough to carry by hand, which I do often.

    3. Trinity for 16" Macbook Pro. No need for its Cache, so even easier to remove and replace in the bag. Plenty of room for lots more stuff, even the 13" Macbook Pro (in its Cache). My primary method of carry is cross body or shoulder,…

    Perfect travel bag as a personal item

    The Tom Bihn Daylight Briefcase has been perfect for my needs. I use it for all my travels, as it's the perfect size for a personal item for my gear on a flight. When it's not in use, I pack it into my bigger backpack and it takes up almost no room.

    The craftsmanship on this briefcase is top-notch. You can really see Tom Bihn's dedication to creating bags that are not only functional but also beautifully designed. Every little detail, from the sturdy handles to the smartly placed pockets, shows how much thought went into making this briefcase. There are plenty of pockets and compartments to keep all my stuff organized and within reach.

    I can't recommend this bag enough to anyone who wants a high-quality, minimalist briefcase that looks awesome and is very well constructed. You won't be disappointed.

    Great quality

    I love this bag. It is easy theses days to get sucked into the world of cheap Target or Office Depot bags and be on the carousel of buying new bags as they quickly wear out or cant keep you organized. This does not happen with Tom Bihn bags. High quality material and craftmanship makes these bags long lived. A big bonus is the colors are elegant and beautiful; I bought the burnt orange. This is a perfect every day minimalist briefcase that still has pockets and O-rings for organization. Be sure to read descriptions, materials and Specs to get the bag that is perfect for your needs. As described this bag is not padded so I use a protective sleeve for my surface pro and will order a cache when I save up the funds.

    Perfect EDC for 9 years and counting

    I've been using this briefcase for 9 years now. It's been my EDC and has logged a number of international trips, too. I really don't have any notes for the design team. This is one of the best, most useful bags I've ever had.
