Summer has arrived, and so have our two new 200d Halcyon colors! Meet Kiwi, a vibrant green that demands attention, and Tahoma, a mountain white that pays homage to the PNW landscape.
Kiwi and Tahoma will be available to shop Monday August 5th at 10 am PDT.
Kiwi is bold, fun, daring, and a little sour (and isn’t afraid to tell you.). It evokes the image of a fresh-cut kiwi on a summer day, a plant that just uncurled its leaf, the aurora borealis as the sun sets, or an underripe apple. It is a love letter to all things audacious and unapologetic. Compared to Wasabi, another fan-favorite green in our lineup, Kiwi is a more saturated lime-green. Think of Wasabi as the seasoned elder in our family of greens—wise, dependable, and full of depth. Kiwi, on the other hand, is the spirited younger cousin, bursting with energy and zest for life. It also leans more cool-toned when next to Wasabi.
If Kiwi is gutsy, then Tahoma is understated. Inspired by the snow peaks of Mt. Rainier, Tahoma evokes a sense of tranquility and balance. It is subtle, classy, and elegant–a cloud against a bright blue sky, a field of fallen snow, an untouched canvas, or coconut milk on a bowl of mango sticky rice. It is an homage to all things peaceful.
Our team picked these colors all the way back in February. With delays in the fabric arriving at the factory, we waited until plenty of accessories were made before announcing, hence the later Summer release. We also went through several names before settling at Kiwi and Tahoma. Some iterations included Lime and Coconut, Apple and Paradise, Limon and Tahoma (But then we realized Limon actually meant lemon–whoops!). Eventually, we settled on Kiwi and Tahoma. Kiwi is a tribute to our former ballistic color offering, while Tahoma is, of course, a tribute to Mt. Rainier.
Whether you gravitate towards the vivacity of Kiwi or find comfort in the calming Tahoma, our new Halcyon colors offer choices for whatever summer vibe you're on.
Kiwi and Tahoma are available Monday August 5th at 10 am PDT.
