On my last international trip, I carried my Tom Bihn Everyday Cubelet everywhere—and loved it—but for my most recent trip, I knew I’d need a slightly more spacious bag to carry my belongings, trash I couldn’t find a trash can for, and small things I’d bought that day. I also needed to improve my carry-on bag organization. Basically, I needed what the packing cube shoulder bag was offering, so I bought one in the wasabi color almost immediately after it was back in stock.
This bag was great for what I needed. On the plane, it fit perfectly in my Synik 30 and held all of the tops I planned to wear. My Everyday Cubelet also fit well inside of it, so when using it as a shoulder bag, I used the Cubelet as an organizer for smaller items in the bag. When used as a shoulder bag, it can look formless and sag when it’s half-filled, since it lacks internal organization in order to double as a packing cube; personally, I liked how it looked regardless, and I liked that I could generously stuff it with items without having to fight against the structure of the bag, but that might not be for everyone. I’ve attached a cropped pic from my trip as an example of how it looked when I was carrying it around.
Also, just as an aside, I absolutely love the wasabi fabric color. I never would’ve believed I’d buy a lime green bag, but something about the color against the white grid pattern is stunning to me! I also wear a lot of neutral colors so it adds a nice contrast.
